problem with my avatar.

ive read how to put a avatar up and ive done it but for some reason everytime i try it a red x just shows up. anyone know whats wrong ??

All that you need is the site where the picture is located, and then you just have to put that in the place where it says Avatar or something similair to that, if you put the image tags it wont work.
