What is a spam?

I dont know what is a spam!!!!! what is??? is it bad???

Spam is like pointless posts. Like one word posts, such as someone saying "lol" in reply to something and nothing else. Spam basically just clutters up forums with useless stuff and people do it to get their post count higher.
