the issue of the video forum........

Personally, with all the spammers coming here to get into the video forum, I think we need some things to fix this. Like you have to get granted permission to gain access or not allowing people to multi-post on the same topic within the first 5 minutes or something. Because it's not good that this forum is being spammed and long term users have to deal with it while these freeloaders post nothing and gain access to a forum that everyone else took in stride to get to. Either that (sorry guys) or raise the post limit to 400 or something. This is too easy for freeloaders who don't contribute here and constant spamming which is against this forum's rules.

I petition we get some regulars as mods to ban these guys and keep things orderly here.

I think you're right. someone diffently needs to change something. I don't think raising the limit will work though because then their would just be more spamming. One of the worst spammers is aaa. something has to be done though.

They (spammers) are all banned but unfortunately we can't control the forum 24 h a day and so we can't ban them immediately.

400 (or even 200 less) posts to get access? Who can really contribute to reach this number in a forum where we have almost everything and where the wwe discussion forum is totally ignored?

how about all the non members have to sing up and post at lest 10 to 15 pics post or something.or whatevers good for you,400 is a hell of a lot.dont get me wrong dude you have a good idear but still 400 is a shit load of post.

And who/how can control if their posts contain pics? What if an user post his 15th pic after 3 months? How and where will I find his previous posts? Do you want me to search through thousands of topics?

once you become a member of the forum, you can access the video forum. This may prevent some spam but I'm not sure.

i have an idea, but i bet some people wouldnt like it, if there was no set number of messages you needed to get into the video forum, people wouldnt need to spam here to get in.

As you probably know, a video needs a lot of web space. If we allow everybody to download and watch videos, that videos will disappear after few minutes due to bandwidth usage. So, with this rule, only people who are very interested into have an active role on this board can access the video forum and we (and other sites) will not have big bandwidth problems.

Personally, I agree with those who say raising the number of messages to get into the video forum would encourage more spamming... I do think this is one of the greatest websites in that everything is free of charge... that WA hasn't gone the way of Napster and charging for everything.

I can't quite remember if I had to do this when I registerred, but... if new members were required to supply a valid credit card account, and in their using of the forums were LEGITIMATELY accused of being a "spammer," one of the moderators could look into this... and if found guilty by a selected number of moderators, a MONETARY FEE could be charged to their account.

To get around the legality of this issue, this warning could be posted on the same page as when you initially sign up. If you have to, put it in 48 font, big as the fucking computer screen... make the member view this screen once (maybe even twice) to fully submit their application to join WA.

To protect the member, a copy of the complaint letter and notice of the charging of the credit card most be posted to the member's email address (which he/she VERIFIED upon creating their account). This way, they can't use the excuse of "never got it in the mail".

Well, that's my idea... never said it was a good one... but if you start hitting people in the wallets (much like a bill gates wanting to charge a penny or so per email) some of this shit may slow down.

most pepole keep spamming(even i did)to get in the video forum i say raise the limit to 150
